Plantronics Voyager 510SL Bluetooth Headset

The WindSmart feature on the Plantronics Voyager 510SL Bluetooth Headset sounds great – it’s supposed to make for clearer calls even in windy environments. But the news release gave me some funny visions (and no, it’s not what you’re thinking):

“Ideal for mobile professionals who are constantly juggling cell phone and office phone calls, the Plantronics Voyager 510SL Bluetooth Headset System with WindSmart provides a single wireless headset to seamlessly switch between office phones and Bluetooth mobile phones.

The Voyager 510 is the first Bluetooth headset on the market to include both a noise-canceling microphone and wind-reduction technology for brilliant sound in windy environments. The headset features multipoint technology for easily switching between multiple devices, and can automatically detect which device a person is using, allowing them to take calls from either device with the touch of a button.”

Is it just me, or do you see a mobile pro sitting in her office, switching to her cell phone from her office phone and feeling really glad about the WindSmart feature because it’s just so gosh darn windy in the office … (Once upon a time I had an office, not a corner one, I admit, but one high up deep in the jungles of the city, and let me tell you, those windows are glued shut.) Well, maybe it’s that breeze that you get as you travel down 35 floors in the elevator …

Anyway, that was just a momentary flash that tickled my funny bone for a bit. Don’t mind me. I get weird like that sometimes.
