Sanyo Xacti HD1 Pocketcorder

The Sanyo Xacti HD1 pocketcorder, which should be available in March, is about the size of a bar of soap. Sounds very cute.
It can record in high-definition video, and has a 2.2-inch rotating screen (an organic light-emitting diode display). It doesn’t come with a memory card, though, although one is required. So if you’re set on getting this one, factor the extra bucks for the card into the overall cost (which, according to CNET, will be $800).
Actually, since I just bought a digital camcorder back in December myself (gift for someone, don’t ask), I can definitely say that when you set out to buy any digital camcorder, you should also remember to factor in all the other costs, too. Like camera bag, extra recording media, any cables you might need, firewire and appropriate card if you plan on editing your videos …
