Sony’s just announced the Sony HDR-SR1 hard drive camcorder, which records in full 1080i HD resolution and Dolby® Digital 5.1 surround sound. The camcorder sports a 30GB hard drive onto which you can record directly. As usual with Sony models, the HDR-SR1 sports a Carl Zeiss lens - the Vario Sonner T* lens, to be exact, and there’s also an extra-large 3.5-inch swiveling LCD screen.
