Timestrips

I am a bleeding heart when it comes to leftovers. If there’s enough to fill a tablespoon, I can never bear to throw it away. I’m also very very fond of buying all sorts of exotic sounding sauces and mixes, all of which sport the slogan “Refrigerate after opening”.

I have grown all manner of spiky, green, furry things in various containers of leftovers, and I tend to shy away from using a bottle of sauce that I opened who knows how long ago, because I’m not fond of the stomach cramps associated with food poisoning.

Needless to say, Timestrips were made for someone like me.

“Timestrips® are single-use, disposable, smart-labels, which automatically monitor lapsed time, ranging from under 1 day to 6 months. The technology behind the revolutionary Timestrip® works by capillary action, allowing a tinted liquid to migrate through a micro-porous material at a consistent rate.”
