iPod nano and Chocolate Gift Set Review

I don’t know about you, but I think gadgets are a great gift to get my mom for Mother’s Day. Not only do you avoid the rush at the mall, you also don’t have to waste your time trying to guess if this designer perfume or those emerald earrings are really something your mom wants.
(And if you’re thinking, hmmm, she says that with the voice of experience, I’ll just add that for a few years there, I actually resorted to the price criteria - as in, it didn’t matter what it smelled like or looked like, was it hugely expensive? Well, then, there must be a good reason for that. I’ll take it!)
I recently received a review sample of the iPod nano and Chocolate Gift Set that is being offered by Best Buy, and I’d say that if you were thinking of getting your mom an iPod or an mp3 player, this gift set is definitely a good way to go.
First of all, you get your choice of a cute 4GB nano in either pink or silver - which really is a good thing, because not all women prefer pink (my mom doesn’t), and silver’s a nice elegant color that looks and feels sleek. Being the nano, it’s small and a good choice for slipping into your handbag. And 4GB gets you storage for about 1000 songs, so that’s not too shabby.
You also get to fulfil “tradition”, in the form of chocolates - Milk Chocolate Meltaways. They’re a decent size, and come wrapped in pink and silver foil. They’re not the world’s best chocolates, but they’re a nice touch, with a smooth truffle-like filling. Very chocolatey, and more than enough in the box for Mom to pass around and still have lots left for herself.
And the whole thing comes in a retro-look gift box that’s big on colorful dots. There’s also a coupon inside for 10% off your next purchase of iPod accessories from Best Buy.
The only other thing I’d suggest is an iTunes gift card to slip into your Mother’s Day card for your mom.
For $204.99 at Best Buy, it’s a pretty good idea for Mother’s Day. Plus you don’t have to spend your weekend sniffing perfumes or being shocked at the price of a pair of diamond earrings.
