The person who invented this deserves the Nobel Prize. The Eye-Vac electric dustpan does away with dust, debris and the need for those pain-in-the-neck manual dustpans.
Friends of mine had their new house built last year and one of the features they added was a built-in suction dust pan under the sink. You sweep the dirt close to it, open it up and it sucks it away like central vac—it’s brilliant! Well for those of us that don’t have that built into our brand new homes this is the next best thing. No more gathering your piles of dirt, finding the dust pan and sweeping the piles into the pan only to have that constant line of dirt never go away (you know what I’m talking about!).

The Eye-Vac dustpan has a heap filter so your home’s air stays clean and the Eye-Vac will even tell you when it’s full. This is something every home should have. Elderly people wouldn’t have to bend down, those with allergies would appreciate having the dust swept away for good and anyone who’s filled a dustpan just to accidentally dump it beside the garbage can and onto the floor again will worship this gadget.
“Save your back by avoiding the bending and scooping required by traditional dustpans. The Eye-Vac EV1850 Professional Automatic Dust Pan is a 1200-watt stationary vacuum that picks up dirt, dust, and hair instantly. Just sweep debris into the path of its always-on infrared sensors, and the Eye-Vac will vacuum it away instantly, turning off automatically when finished. It also features a manual on/off switch for added convenience. Ideal for tile, wood, vinyl, concrete, and most any non-carpeted surface, the Eye-Vac’s cyclonic vacuum action with dual-HEPA filtration ensures clean air return.”
