Review: Insignia – 7.0-Megapixel Digital Camera
If you are on the market for a new digital camera, the Insignia 7.0 Mega Pixel camera is the perfect affordable option. And it’s pretty in pink!
The camera was a gift for my teenage daughter who is fourteen. It was one of items on her Christmas list that had several stars*** next to it so I would fully understand just how important this gift was to her.
Shopping for a digital camera these days can be overwhelming with thousands of models and features to choose from. Most important on the list of features was affordability, ease of use (I am technology challenged and well, my daughter takes after her mother) and of course clear pictures.
The Insignia 7.0 Mega Pixel camera from Best Buy met all my needs at only $79.99 and my daughter was THRILLED. It’s affordable, easy to use and the picture quality is excellent. I under estimated my daughter’s talents or the camera is just that easy to use because she was a pro in less than an hour.
In fact, this Christmas my daughter happily took all the pictures and I actually made it into a few of them! A rarity around here as I am usually the one stuck behind the camera. My mother-in-law (gee, I love that lady…) exclaimed happily “that maybe now she would get more pictures of her grandkids!” Did I mention just how much I love that lady?!

AND MORE
My daughter’s favorite features are frames, which allow to frame your photos in different designs including cartoons, scenes and flowers. And you can take photos using different effects such as black & white, blue, green and more. Her absolute favorite feature is the “face tracker” which follows the persons face to ensure you are capturing their expression perfectly to eliminate bluriness.
The only suggestions I have are investing in rechargeable batteries as they die rather quickly when you have a beautiful daughter that loves snapping lots of pictures of the family dog and well her own pretty face. And, the internal memory card only holds 2 photos. I was able to pick up an affordable memory card that holds over 200 photos.
I highly recommend the Insignia 7.0 Mega Pixel camera from Best Buy to anyone looking for any affordable camera that offers excellent photo quality. And since this is GadgetChick, I don’t mind pointing out that it’s pink and we love pink here even though not all gadgets have to be pink or shiny!
