iPod Classic
Digital Trends reviews the new iPod Classic and writes, “The Apple iPod Classic is a nice evolutionary step in iPod design aimed at previous generation owners who require more storage capacity, or new owners who don’t want to pony up premium fees for less than premium storage. Granted, the unit’s new interface changes have been well thought-out and prove welcome additions, but do require some tweaking on Apple’s end in order to make the system more responsive. The upshot being as follows: While nothing about the iPod Classic wowed us besides the capacity, we were left feeling satisfied with the purchase. If you are a current 5G iPod owner and don’t need additional space, there is no compelling reason to upgrade. But on the flip side, owners of earlier generation iPods have many nice bells and whistles to look forward to.”
iPod classic Reviews
iLounge reviews the iPod classic and has this to say, “In our view, iPod classic is most clearly an example of pragmatism slapping optimism in the face—this is not the device Apple fans have been dreaming about, but rather the device that Apple could sell for $249 or $349 while maintaining its classic profit margins. These facts don’t make it a bad iPod for new users; to the contrary, it is a good choice for those who don’t mind compromising on display and user interface technology to get an affordable digital media player with incredible storage capacity. However, we wouldn’t recommend it to everyone; our advice would be to hold out for a device that offers the screen, interface and storage capacity that satisfy your needs.” Link.
